You Don’t Write The Story Of Your Existence
You can never have a Biblical view of Christianity and somehow put God outside of your trouble. God is in the middle of your trouble; and so, immediately that begs the question, ‘Why would God allow this kind of difficulty, after He says in one-hundred ways, He loves so deeply and so fully’?”
Why do we have to go through all these difficulties, the disappointments, the pains, the afflictions, the suffering of life–why?
“FOR YOU KNOW that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.” (James 1:3) James says, “For you know,” he is speaking to people whom he thinks should not be surprised by what he’s going to say next.
You are not in control of your life, God is! You don’t write the story of your existence; God does! So then, it should not be surprising that God is in the middle of your trouble and He’s using that trouble for some purpose. This should not be a surprise to you, “…For you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.”
