“When You Go Through Deep Waters”

| Peace

“When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.” Isaiah 43:2-3

Did you notice that it says ‘when.’ These times shouldn’t shock us. God’s Word assures us both that we will go through suffering and that Christ will always be with us.

DO NOT FEAR!

Fear is a currency being used against us these days—all of us. Fear has become a motivational tool in our culture.

Fear is a response to not trusting Jesus. What is it that you are struggling to trust Him in? Dig in! Ask yourself questions with gentle curiosity, and then bring those to Jesus and to scripture.

“Peace is what I leave with you; it is my own peace that I give you. I do not give it as the world does. Do not be worried and upset; do not be afraid.” John 14:27

The world is just as dark as it’s always been, and God is still as much in control as He’s always been. There are many voices shouting that things have gone too far to trust God now. That is nonsense!
