We Pin Ourselves Down As Victims
Unlovable, unworthy, unredeemable, and the enemy uses SHAME to keep us there. Yet, the beauty of the Gospel is this: In Jesus, we are free to—and called to—step into a New Identity:
Forgiven. Redeemed. Loved. New Creation. Child of God!
“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.” (Ephesians 1:7) Read it slowly and carefully.
In Him “WE HAVE.” We’re not “trying to have” it. “We have.” Have what?
Redemption. We have the forgiveness of sins, all sins! We’re not trying to get forgiveness. We are forgiven. We are forgiven for all our sins, past, present, and future.
The forgiveness of sins is our redemption! We don’t confess to be forgiven. We confess because we are forgiven! Victims no more!
