“Then David GOT UP from the ground.” (2 Sam 12:20)

No goose-pumps. No prophesy. No warm feelings. He simply got up. I think everything David was dealing with was saying stay down. When he realized the child was dead. He got up from the ground!

What he did next was critically important, “After he had washed, put on lotions and changed his clothes, he went into the house of the LORD and worshiped.”( 2 Sam 12:20)

Be careful what you do when you get up. Be careful who you talk to, be careful where your feet take you.

How do you recover from being a murderer, a deceiver, and an adulterer? There is healing in worship. There’s healing in the house of God. Nobody knows what’s happening because worship heals your insides.

God can’t get up for you. You have to get up for yourself. There is a blessing waiting to come into your life in “getting up.”
