The Silence of Conflict: Why Saying ‘Nothing’ Isn’t Always the Best Solution.

“The Silence of Conflict: Why Saying ‘Nothing’ Isn’t Always the Best Solution.”

You don’t want anyone mad at you if you are a people-pleaser. So, rather than discussing the problem and taking it head-on, you stay silent and pout. You ponder how they don’t seem to care that you are upset.

It is easier and much less painful to say “nothing” when asked, thinking it’s a quick fix, but the problem remains. You stay angry and resentful or sweep it under the rug, and inevitably, it presents itself again. Deal with it, and don’t hide from it! There is healing, growth, and freedom when you do.
