The Epicenter Of Christianity- Compassion!
“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” (Rev 21:4)
You know that life is painful. Maybe you’ve experienced deep devastation yourself, or you’re close to someone who has. In the absence of Shalom, there’ll be an abundance of tears, mourning, pain and death.
As we participate in restoration, we should care as your Lord cares about the human condition. We should care about suffering of every kind.
The epicenter of Christianity is an awesome gift, one that we can never earn, deserve, or achieve. Because of that, we ought to be marked by extreme humility.
You should stand next to the most broken, lost, and rebellious and look at them with eyes of grace because you know that, apart from God’s grace, you’re much more like them than unlike them.
We need to be a community where grace and forgiveness and acceptance is freely offered. This is US! This is The Gathering Place.
