Learn to Say “No”

When Mary and Martha came to Jesus, asking Him to quickly hurry over to where their brother Lazarus was dying, Jesus essentially said, “No, not now.” (John 11:3-6)

Too often, we’re not thinking about what is best for our relationships. Our thoughts become confused by what WE want rather than what God wants.

Jesus had to stand up and do a complicated thing. It is impossible to serve two masters. When others try to control us, we may have a harder time hearing from the Lord, and we may compromise the help our friends need from us!
