I Wish Change Was More Comfortable…

| Choices

How I wish change were more comfortable, but there is great reward on the OTHER SIDE of determined, forward progress.

“No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way. So take a new grip with your tired hands and strengthen your weak knees. Mark out a straight path for your feet so that those who are weak and lame will not fall but become strong.” (Heb 12:11-13)

On the other side of change is a harvest of righteousness (being more like God; more loving, more victorious, more free) and peace (deep, inner calm and contentment).

What challenges are you facing right now, in terms of personal change? It might help to imagine yourself on the other side of the battle, victorious and at peace. Where life not only looks different but feels different.

Malachi 3:6 “For I am the Lord, I change not.”

Changes occur in life and affect all of us, but we must thank the Lord and count our blessings, whether the changes are good or bad. Even when change is stressful, hurtful or painful, we need to cast our cares upon the Lord. Even when we feel like everything is falling apart, we must call on Him for strength. He knows our situation better than we do and already knows the outcome.
