God’s Love is an Exercise of His Goodness…

God’s love for us reaches its goal as it brings us to know and enjoy Him in a covenant relationship.

This is how God relates to His people. He promises to be our God and our Redeemer and we promise to love and serve Him alone.

We cannot keep our side of this covenant, so God kept it for us in the person and work of Jesus Christ. This is Christianity!

“This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.” (1 John 4:10)
