You know your past, you know the story, you know the good, the bad, the lame, the blame, and you know those parts that might live better hidden under a rock. You know where all those broken pieces are. Yes, those broken pieces of your story of which you are not proud, some of which you’re still coming to terms with. Those pieces of your story that have hurt you and hurt others, that you’re not sure what to do with.
God can use the broken pieces of your story to help people who have been silent about their story. My story is a story of redemption, success, failure, brokenness, restoration, truth, freedom, authenticity, and ultimately, it’s the story of victory.
I learned that God can take what is deeply painful and bring life and hope out of it; not just hope to me, but hope to others who may have experienced the same depth of pain.
“He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.” (2 Cor 1:4)
